Marvellous! I'd love to hear 'Sympathy For The Grocer'!

How about:
'Be Careful With That Piece of 2 x 4, Eugene'

'From A Ford Prefect'

'Heartbreak Travelodge'

'Smells Like Brut Christmas Gift Pack'

Hey SB, great to see you getting into the spirit!! Love your additions...this one could run and run! Speaking of which, how about "Born To Dawdle"?

... I think Sympathy For The Grocer could be a tale of thwarted passions behind the asparagus. Mr Tompkins (55), one-time Marxist, keen pidgeon-fancier and Labour town councilor, struggles to keep his shop going against the onslaught of Tesco...meanwhile his wife Betty wonders where the years have gone and nurses a cup of English Breakfast while watching mid-morning telly...

'Pancho & Leslie'
'One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Diet Coke With Ice and Lemon'
'Hey June'
'The Guns of Brixham'
'Linden Arden Stole Some Headlights'
'The Wind Cries Brenda'

Meant to say...love your synopsis for 'Sympathy For The Grocer'!

Ah, that Linden Arden...such a caution! How about Snow In High Wycombe? I'm sure there must be some waitresses there. Or that homage to blue collar americana, Born To Dawdle?

Nice!
Or 'Desolation Close'?

OK...just two more (honest)

'Fax Machine' by James Brown
'Rikki Don't Lose That Number (It's A Roll-Over Tonight)' by Steely Dan.

That's it. I think.

Hey, SB you've really got into the groove here!! Love your ideas. It probably is time to call it a day, although I'm sure we could run with this forever!! Now that is scary. Now, as I was saying about those great books that never got published...
